Chris Yang

Chris joined the BLAM lab as a Neuroscience Ph.D. student in May 2017.

Chris graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016 with a B.A. in
Neuroscience, where he worked with Dr. Christopher Deppmann in studying
how dietary fat intake can alter the sympathetic tone of adipose tissue.
He has also worked with Dr. Yoshitaka Oka at the University of Tokyo,
researching the phylogenetic history of the GnRH gene in the characidae
family of fish, as well as Dr. David Prince at Stanford University,
studying morphological changes in cortical neurons following traumatic
brain injury.

Chris is currently investigating the mechanisms involved in learning
complex motor skills.
